We want to hear what makes you proud to be UAW. This site is one way of sharing the stories that come out of that work. So look around - and submit your own story. Now, you can call us at

Martin Boatman on UAW Involvement
I was an hourly employee of GM Parts Div. for over 30 years and a member of the plant fire brigade.
I have worked and supported Special Olympics for over 25 years. Now that I am retired I am not able to financially help as much, but I am able to give more time to this organization and others – including being a member of the National Ski Patrol for the last 11 years.
U.A.W. members not only pave the way for health care and decent wages, but they contribute greatly to their communities and country in so many ways. We, the proud members of the U.A.W. get involved and stay involved in ways that people who don't have the union experience could never understand.
