Jacqueline Thompson on UAW Committees
Local 3000 has so many great members. We have several committees that do so much to help out in our local community. We are located in Flat Rock Michigan.
Our area is suffering the effects of tremendous job loss. We have so many families struggling to keep food on the table. Many have lost their home. This Christmas we had overwhelming support from our members to support our Toys for Tots program and also our Adapt a Family program. We collected warm pajamas for women’s and children shelters.
Our women’s committee will have a team this year in the Michigan 3-Day breast Cancer Walk. Our team name is "Union Angels". We really could use the help from all our UAW brothers and sisters, as we need to raise $2,100 each to make our goal! You can donate at Michigan 3-Day.com
I am proud to belong to UAW local 3000 and to be able to make a difference in someone’s life.
Solidarity Forever,
Jacqueline Thompson
